One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen... Don't miss the Scenic Drive. Pay attention to the schedule as it takes a few hours to get through, maybe longer if like me you do a lot of photo stops and in the evenings - in summer - it closes at 8pm. Even if you come from far away and have driven a lot, don't miss this opportunity because it is worth it.

Another place we visited on the Navajo Native Reservation was this valley, we did so by car.
It was an incredible experience, seeing views I had seen before in films and photos, truly priceless. During the tour we stopped several times at various viewpoints, I carry the images on my retina and on the camera to remember them.

You can take a designated tour through the valley in a special vehicle or drive your own car along a marked route. The terrain is rough and bumpy on regular car suspension and be careful as it can get very hot from 10am to 4pm onwards. Water intake is very important don't go without it. There is a visitor center with toilets, shops, etc. Journey of a lifetime.

Monument Valley is one of the most stunning and inspiring views I have ever seen. These strange cliffs and rock formations are due to the fact that millions of years ago this entire region was under water. For decades there was hardly a western film that didn't feature this place John Ford directed John Wayne in the so-called Cavalry Trilogy.
One of my photos shows a stunning view of John Fords point, the flat plateau he used as a camera platform He was also featured in the 1939 Ford and Wayne Classic "Stagecoach" which catapulted John Wayne to international stardom.
